JORDAN McCOLL FINISHES THIRD IN NORTH CAROLINA

Jordan McColl from Dundee, a final year student at Lander University, Greenwood in South Carolina, finished third in a field of 69 players at the UNCP/Campbell Oil Classic college golf tournament at River Landing, Wallace in North Carolina at the weekend.
McColl, pictured, had rounds of 69, 75 and 74 for a total of two-over-par 218 over a par-72 course of 6,895yd.
He finished four shots behind the winner, Michael Mullman (UNCP) (69-71-74 for 214).

Further down the field were two Post University students from south of the Border.
Thomas Rees, a senior from Cardiff), finished T15 on 228 with rounds of 73, 74 an d81.
Ross Earnshaw, a junior from York, finished T41 on 237 with rounds of 78, 75 and 84.
UNC Pembroke (894) won the team title ahead of Wingate (897) and Lander (903). Post (947) finished 11th of 12 teams. 

JAMIE REID MAKES TOP 20 IN NORTH CAROLINA 





Jamie Reid from Peterhead, a first-year student at Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate in Tennessee, finished joint 15th in a field of 77 players at the Ralph Hargett Memorial college golf tournament at the Olde Sycamore Plantation Golf Club, Mint Hill, North Carolina.
Over a par-72 course of  6,937yd, Reid had rounds of 80 and 74 for 154 - 10 shots behind the winner by three, Brian Denton (Wingate) (74-70 for 144).

On the 154 mark alongside Reid was team-mate Jamie Chapman, a senior year student from Sussex. Chapman score 80-74.
Walters State (601) won the team title by 15 shots from Wingate with Lincoln Memorial (630) T6 in a field of 10 teams.
