Kelsey MacDonald, Scottish women's amateur champion in 2010 and one of Scotland's leading female golfers in recent years, has brought forward her decision to turn professional.
The 22-year-old Nairn Dunbar GC member and final-year Stirling University student, has been invited to play in the Turkish Airlines Women's Open at National Golf Club, Antalya from May 9 to 12 and she will make her debut as a pro in that Ladies European Tour event.

"I then fly from Turkey to  compete in back-to-back LETAS events in Sweden and I also plan to play in several Paul Lawrie Scottish Ladies Tour events," said Kelsey who won the Scottish Under-21 women's title four years in a row from 2008, including one of them at her home course.
"Winning a bronze medal with Scotland in the European women's team champion and also getting into the GB and I team which won the Astor Trophy at Fairhaven in 2011 are my team highlights as an amateur."
She also played for GB and I in the Vagliano Trophy match of 2011 but missed out on her No 1 ambition - to play in the Curtis Cup match at Nairn last June. She was chosen as a reserve.
Kelsey, who won the Jones-Doherty match-play event on the Orange Blossom Tour in Florida in January, still intends to graduate in June from Stirling University where she has been a golf scholarship student for the past five years.
"I am very very happy to have completed my studies and can only thank Raleigh Gowrie and his team at Stirling for their continued support on and off the course, which has been brilliant," she said..
