On a dry but very, very windy day at Kingsfield Golf Club the first ever Texas Scramble Pro-am took place today.
Many thanks to the Scottish Professional Golfers Association in particular Glen McPhee for organising the 22 young professionals on the day, all who conducted themselves in a manner that the SPGA can be proud of.
Special thanks also to Kingsfield Golf Club, for all their help on the day, the catering was first class as always. along with the condition of the course which was exemplarily considering our recent weather.
All the boys and girls playing had a great time playing with Scotland’s up and coming young professionals and learnt a lot from the day. Was great to see, the smiling faces of the kids and pro's on the day.
The scoring again was of a good quality in very testing conditions.
The results were as follows:
Winners
Team: Trick Shots
Professional: Fraser Rummins ( Canmore GC)
Ewan Burns
Katie Liddle
Owen Abu-Baker
2nd place
Team: Majik
Professional: Kevin Moran ( Balbirnie Park GC)
Matthew Morrison
Aidan O'Hagan
Jake Johnston
3rd place
Team: Professionals
Professional: Paul Wilson ( Cawder GC)

Nearest the pin on 9:
Professional: Richard McKenzie-Smith (Kings Acre).
Amateur: Lewis Irvine
Each of the children in the winning team and the "Nearest the Pin" winner all received adult and child tickets to the Open at Muirfield.
