SAMMY LESLIE v SHEENA WOOD IN ABERDEENSHIRE COUNTY FINAL AT KEMNAY
Sammy Leslie is playing Aberdeen Ladies team-mate Sheena Wood in this afternoon's delayed 18-hole final of the Aberdeenshire women's county championship at sunny Kemnay.
"Delayed" because Sheena, the defending champion and five times previous title-winner, had to go to the 26th - eight extra holes - to get the better of her 17-year-old opponent in the morning semi-finals, Kimberley Beveridge (Aboyne).
Sammy Leslie, the 2010 champion, beat Susan Murray (Murcar Links) by 5 and 4 in the other semi-final.
Sammy has not had to play the last four holes in her progress to the final.
The handicap championship final went to the 23rd before Caroline Gordon beat Yvonne Moir in all-Kemnay match.
SEMI-FINALS
Sammy Leslie (Aberdeen Ladies) bt Susan Murray (Murcar Links) 5 and 4. Sheena Wood (Aberdeen Ladies) bt Kimberley Beveridge (Aboyne) at 26th.
