CATHYPANTON-LEWIS DOWN THE WPGA FIELD AT LITTLE ASTON


Cathy Panton-Lewis finished 20th in a field of 32 for today's WPGA One-day Series event at Little Aston Golf Club, Sutton Coldfield.
Playing out of The Berkshire Golf Club, Ascot, the Scot (pictured) shot an eight-over-par 80 to finish seven shots behind the joint winners, Suzanne Dickens (Nene Park) and Lucky Williams (Mid-Herts).
After a card countback, Suzanne won first prize of £350 and Lucy the runner-up award of £275.
Third-placed with a 74, Fern Grimshaw (Wessex Golf Centre) earned £150.
Sian James (Machynys Peninsula) and Sarah Walton (Kingston) came next on the 75 mark and each earned £87.50.
Alison Nicholas (Hagley), Tracy Loveys (Bigbury) and Katie Tebbet (Rothley Park)  were joint sixth on 76 and each received just over £61.

The PLGC SLOT charges no membership fee and the entry fee per tournament (except for the Tour Championship at Dalmahoy in October) is only £50 per event. All the entry fees go into each prize fund. So the more entries we get, the bigger the prize funds.
