Broomieknowe's Hannah Scott is the new Midlothian women's county golf champion.
Hannah, 19. the leading qualifier for the match-play stages and playing in her first final, beat Scotland international Jane Turner (Craigielaw) by 4 and 3 in the final at Newbattle Golf Club today (Saturday).
Jane, the third seed, also lost in the 2012 and 2005 county finals.
Scott never looked back after winning the first three holes with par-par-birdie and she increased her lead to five up after six holes.
Turner rallied briefly with winning birdies at the seventh and ninth but she was four down after 11.
Scott's driving was good but her putting was even better.
