JESSICA BRADLEY HELPS LYNN UNI WIN NCAA DIV 2 WOMEN'S TITLE
Jessica Bradley from North Devon, a second-year student at Lynn University, Boca Raton in Florida, helped Lynn to win the NCAA Division 2 women's championship over the LPGA International course at Daytona Beach, Florida .
Jessica, pictured, had scores of 76-77-72-78 for a total of 303 over the testing par-72 course. She finished T14.
The best placed British player was Abbey Gittings, playing her last competition of her final year at Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida - and a very successful four years it has been for Abbey.
She had rounds of 78, 76, 69 and 76 for a total of 299 and joint seventh place in the field of 72 players. Abbey comes from Warwickshire.
Rachel Lewis from Wales, a junior year student at Nova Southeaster, finished T45 on 322 with scores of 77, 82, 82 and 82.
Nancy Vergara (Barry) won the individual title with a three-over total of 291 (71-72-73-74) finished just ahead of two Nova Southeastern players, Linnea Jouhannson (73-70-72-77 for 292) and Daniela Ortiz (67-75-75-77) for 294.
Lynn (1187) won the NCAA Division 2 women's championship by three strokes from Nova Southeastern (1190) with Barry (1194) third, St Edwards (1226) fourth and Grand Canyon (1235) fith in the field of 12 teams.
