KRYSTLE'S SPARKLE IS COMING BACK ON TOUR

Krystle Falkner is recapturing the appetite she had for competitive golf before marriage changed her surname from Caithness.
From the Paul Lawrie Tour, she is now working her way back to the top through the Ladies European Tour Access Series and today's one-over-par 73 for a joint 10th place first-day finish to the Kristianstad Ladies Open in Sweden was another step along the way.
Krystle may not be sparkling yet but, give her time!
Birdies at the 12th and 15th highlighted a steady rather than spectacular round in which she bogeyed the short third, 13th and 16th to be five shots behind the Spanish amateur pacemaker Patricia Sanz Barrio.
In fact, the second-placed player is also an amateur, Linn Andersson from Sweden.

Third-placed is English pro Eleanor Givens (pictured right) who played in the opening Paul Lawrie Tour events at Dalmahoy and Ratho Park. She comes from Darlington and was English girls' champion in 2007 before she went to
college in America on a scholarship.
Kelsey MacDonald and Laura Murray are sharing 20th place on the 74 mark. Birdies at the short 14th and 15th gave Laura chance of a par round, if not better but she double-bogeyed the 16th and dropped another at the 17th.
Katy McNicoll saddled herself with three double bogey 6s and could do no better than a 77.
Gemma Webster (79), Pamela Feggans (81) and Heather MacRae (81) will do well to survive the cut at the end of the second round.
