MEGAN BRIGGS WINS WEST OF SCOTLAND STROKE-PLAY

On
a cloudy and sometimes drizzly day, over 50 players took part in the West of Scotland women's stroke-play championship at West Kilbride with Megan Briggs winning by one
stroke with a round of 75 from Rachael Cassidy (Bothwell Castle) and Lauren d'Ambrosio (Carluke).
The last named won the award for the best net score of 68 off eight for which she received a salver.

The team event eventually came down to a countback of the last three
holes with Renfrewshire winning the prize over Lanarkshire by one
stroke, and Lanarkshire winning the junior team prize.
The
winning Renfrewshire team was Megan Briggs, Donna Jackson and Gillian
McGinlay. The junior team winners for Lanarkshire were Eva O'Connor, Heather Neilson
and Ellie Bryce.
