NORTHERN COUNTIES AND ABERDEENSHIRE FIRST DAY WINNERS AT TAIN

Scottish women's county champions Angus may not qualify for this year's tournament of divisional champions.

They lost 6-3 to Northern Counties on the opening day at Tain Golf Club of the North Division inter-county team championship which Angus won last year and so qualified to play in the county finals

The other first-day match saw a 5-4 win by Aberdeenshire over Perth and Kinross.
