GERMANY CALLING! FIONA LIDDELL CAN'T GET OFF SCHOOL TO PLAY IN BRITISH CHAMPIONSHGIP

Fiona Liddell, Germany-based daughter of club pro Stephen Liddell, has had to withdraw her entry from next week's British women's open amateur championship at Machynys Peninsula, near Llanelli in South Wales.

Her father reports;

"Her school refused to let her have the week off. She has her last two exams on June 10 and 15th but her school refused to let her take these exams after the British championship.
"Yesterday was a amazing day of emotions, being picked for the European girls team and for the European Young masters ...  and then the school problem.
"Pity about missing the 'British' as she has been practising very hard.!
