MIDLOTHIAN WHIP EAST LOTHIAN 8-1 TO TAKE A GRIP ON EAST DIVISIONAL TITLE

Midlothian are red-hot favourties to retain the East Division women's inter-county team championship at Glenbervie Golf Club after outclassing leading rivals East Lothian 8-1.
It was Midlothian's second win by that margin in two days. They beat Stirling and Clackmannan 8-1 on the opening day.
Stirling and Clackmannan, the hosts, opened their account with a 5-4 win over Fife, winning the singles by a point after sharing the morning foursomes.
The divisional winners will join Aberdeenshire and Renfrewshire in the Scottish county finals at Stirling Golf Club from Septembeer 20-22.
