AILSA SUMMERS WINS ANOTHER TROPHY - AT CARNOUSTIE
St Rule Trophy winner at St Andrews last weekend, Ailsa Summers moved on to another Open championship venue - her home links at Carnoustie, to win the Northern Ladies Open today. It was her first ever win in the tournament which attracted one of its strongest fields.
The 19-year-old St Andrews student had a round of 76, two over par for the ladies' championship course for which the standard scratch is 77. Today's CSS was 80.

Jacqueline Sneddon (Alyth) was runner-up, three behind the winner on 79.
Jemma Chalmers (Monfieth) also had a 79 but she won the Gourlay Rosebowl for the best overall net score - a 75 off four of a handicap.
Claire Penman (Carnoustie Caledonia) and Shonagh Raitt (Forfar) both had 82s. Third prize in the scratch list went to Claire with the better inward half.
+Ailsa Summers has withdrawn from this week's British women's open amateur championship field at Machynys Peninsula GC on the South Wales coast because she wants to help Angus repeat last year's win in the North Division women's inter-county team champion, to be held at Tain Golf Club from June 15-17. Last year, Angus won the divisional title and then went on to win the Scottish county finals at Montrose.
