NORTHERN COUNTIES MOVE CLOSER TO NORTHERN DIVISION TITLE
Northern Counties have moved a step closer to winning the Northern Division inter-county team championship at Tain - and with it a place alongside the other three divisional champions at the Scottish women's county finals at Stirling Golf Club in September.
The only team with a 100 per cent record after two days' play, Northern Counties continued on their winning way by taking the morning foursomes 2-1 against Aberdeenshire.
In the other match, Angus, the 2012 Northern Division title winners who went on to be crowned Scottish county champions, led 2-1 over Perth and Kinross after the final morning foursomes.
