ROYAL DORNOCH PLAYERS DOMINATE N COUNTIES FOURSOMES

Royal Dornoch members Alison Bartlett and Claire Riddell had the lowest scratch

score over their home links in Saturday's Northern Counties foursomes and

Commonwealth Spoons competition.

They shot a 77 to head the gross returns by four shots from Tain sisters Mary Smith

and Anne Ryan.

Another Royal Dornoch partnership, Elizabeth Coghill and Denise McBride, finished third with an 87. The same pair also had the lowest net score of 72 1/2 off 12 1/2

Scratch winners Bartlett and Riddell were next best with 73 1/2 off 3 1/2.

Hazel Flynn (Inverness) and Elizabeth Smith (Nairn Dunbar) were third with a net 77  off 20.
