Kimberley Beveridge, the Aboyne two-handicapper who surprisingly failed to reach the match-play stages of last week's Scottish U18 girls' championship at Ranfurly Castle, returned to form in today's Aberdeenshire girls' medal competition at Inverurie.
Kimberley won the leading scratch prize with a gross 73, coming home in 33 with birdies at the 11th, 13th, 14th and 15th. But for bogeys at the last two holes, she would have gone close to matching the par of 70 and the CSS of 71.
Deeside's Tegan Seivwright, who also disappointed at Ranfurly Castle, had the second best scratch score, a 74, at Inverurie.
Playing off four, Tegan's net 70 earned her the second handicap award behind Carmen Griffiths who had a net 63 off 31.
Sarah Black (Deeside), who also had a net 70 off 13, was pipped for second place by Seivwright's better net inward half.
