MACKIE BOWL ABANDONED DUE TO FLOODING AT GULLANE

Torrential rain at Gullane has forced the abandonment of the 36-hole Mackie Bowl SLGA Order of Merit competition.
Several of the competitors had started  but a really heavy burst of rain caused the course to flood, and the competition referee, Anne Brownie, declared it unplayable.
The organising committee will discuss holding the event on another date later in the season.
