ORGANISER CLAIRE PENMAN WINS MONTROSE WOMEN'S OPEN

Claire Penman, who runs the Montrose Open Week, took a few hours off her organisational duties today to win the Women's Open with a 76 - three shots ahead of runner-up Gabbi Heuchel (East Berkshire.

Claire, therefore, wins the George and Ethel Norrie Trophy.

The CSS was 74.

Well done, Claire! Just think how well she would have scored had she been able to spare the time to practise for this event!
The best handicap score overall won the Nicoll Trophy for Elizabeth Robertson (Montrose Mercantile) who had a net 73 off 10.
