Hannah
McCook (tonsillitis) and Jemma Chalmers (wrist injury) are two of the
latest withdrawals from the Paul Lawrie Scottish Ladies Open Tour's
Perthshire double-header over the next two days - THE ATR CLASSIC over Blairgowrie
Rosemount on Thursday and the SCOTTS ATLANTIC CHALLENGE at Alyth on Friday.
Late
entries will be accepted from professionals or amateurs with
single-figure handicaps by Tournament Director Nicola Melville (07816
353434). Entry fee is £50 per event.
Each
venue will have slightly less than £3,000 of a prizefund due to the
pull-outs. Each winner will collect £750, unless she is an amateur, in
which case her prize will be limited under the Rules of Amateur Status
to a voucher with a maximum value of £500.
There
will be £100 prizes for the tee shots finishing nearest the 17th hole
at both venues, sponsored by hotelier Alan Bannerman.
If
it can be arranged in time there will also be a long driving
competition at one of the holes at both Blairgowrie Rosemount and Alyth,
sponsored by Gene Fulton who works closely with the Ladies European
Tour.
Mr Fulton is also donating a new putter to each winner for the rest of the Paul Lawrie Tour's inaugural scene.
