RACHEL WALKER BEATS JORDANA GRAHAM IN DUMFRIES-SHIRE FINAL

Rachel Walker (Dumfries and County) beat Jordana Graham (Southerness) by 5 and 4 in today's final of the Dumfries-shire Ladies County Golf Association championship at Lockerbie Golf Club. 
It is the second time Rachel has won the county title. The first was in 2010. She leaves next month to enrol at Old Dominion University, Norfolk in Virginia.
Scores in the 36-hole stroke-play qualifying competition to decide the championship contestants were:
141 Rachel Walker 69 72.
146 Jordana Graham 745 72
151 Emma Greenlees 81 70
160 Mirren Fraser 80 80.

Elena Coppola (Lockerbie), playing off 19 of a handicap, beat Fiona Allison (Dumfries and County), handicap 10, by 2 and 1 in the handicap championship match-play final.
Qualifying net scores over 18 holes were:
67 Fiona Allison (10).
70 Elena Coppola (19), bih, Linda Jack (9).
71 Fiona Macgregor (9).
