CLAIRE PROUSE GETS PLACE IN ABERDEENSHIRE TEAM FOR COUNTY FINALS

Claire Prouse's capture of the North of Scotland women's amateur championship and a record-setting round at Murcar Links have earned her a place in the Aberdeenshire team for the four-cornered Scottish county finals at Stirling GC from Friday to September, September 20 to 22.

Prouse replaces Rachel Polson (Peterculter), who played in the Shire team that won the Northern Division championship at Tain and with it a place in the county finals. Polson is back at college in Florida and unavailable for selection. Otherwise it is the same team.

The squad for Stirling is: Kimberley Beveridge (Aboyne), Sammy Leslie (Aberdeen Ladies), Sara Mathieson (Murcar Links), Donna Pocock (Murcar Links), Claire Prouse (Murcar Links), Tegan Seivwright (Deeside), Carol Wilson (Murcar Links), Sheena Wood (Aberdeen Ladies). Reserve: Shannon McWilliam (Aboyne).
