ELAINE AND LORNA QUALIFY AT FORRES FOR SLGA MEDAL GRAND FINAL

Elaine Allison (Stirling) and Lorna Johnson (Meldrum House) were the two qualifiers from a field of 33 players at Forres Golf Club today for the SLGA Medal Grand Final at King James VI Golf Club, Perth on Sunday, September 8.
In the Silver Division, Elaine, playing off six, and Hilary Buchan (Hazlehead), playing off 12, headed the net returns with 69 apiece. Allison won the countback.
In the Bronze Division, Belinda Shepherd (Royal Dornoch) had the best net score of 70, off 23, but she was unavailable to play in the Grand Final so the qualifying place went to Lorna Johnson with a net 74 off 23.
