ENGLISH LADIES SENIOR INTERNATIONAL GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP

From Vivien Saunders at Cambridge Meridian Golf Club:

Corinne Reybroeck - from Belgium and Cambridge Meridian teaching pro - finished on a brilliant total of 4 over par 226, two strokes ahead of Finnish amateur, Minna Kaarnalahti on 228. Tied third were English amateur, Amanda Mayne and USA professional, and the holder, Susan Moon.

Jane West won the best veteran prize for over 60's,

England (Helen Potts, Bev New and Amanda Mayne) won the team prize just ahead of Wales, and Somerset won the county prize - team of Bev New and Amanda Mayne.

Best net for the 54 holes was won by Cheryl Smyth, ahead of Jane West and Sandie Meacher. Sandie, from Highgate, is the sister of Welsh international Jane Rees, and have asked that we have a special prize next year for sisters!

Amanda Mayne won the putting championship with a fantastic score for the 36 holes of 61.

Next year's championship will be held during the week of August 18th.
