LAURA AND PAMELA MAKE THE CUT IN SWEDEN
Scots Laura Murray (pictured above) and Pamela Feggans survive the
second-round cut with nothing to spare in the Norrporten Ladies Open at
Sunsdvals Golf Club, Kvissleby, Sweden today (Sat).
Alford’s Murray, playing
out of the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre, had rounds of 76 and 73 for 149, the limit
mark to qualify for Sunday’s final 18 holes. Murray’s birdies at the third,
fourth, fifth and 10th took the pressure off but a bogey at the 18th
meant an anxious wait to see if she had made it.
Feggans from the Doon Valley
club, Ayrshire hit the 149 mark with scores of 79 and 70, her second round
making up for a lacklustre first round.
Feggans birdied the eighth, 11th, 14th
and 16th, coming home in 34, compared with 40 in the first round.
England’s Charlotte Wild leads by one shot on three-under-par
141 with rounds of 68 and 73.
The event is part of the LETAS schedule, the Ladies European
Tour’s developmental circuit
