NOT SO EASY FOR TOP SEED MARIT AT ST ANDREWS

Marit Harryvan (Netherlands), the top seed in the Strathtyrum Tournament at St Andrews, was taken to the 18th green before winning by two holes in her opening match against another Dutch player, Kaylee de Jonge.
Second seed and past winner Karen Marshall had an easier opening tie. She beat Elaine Richardson (Burnham Beeches) by 4 and 3.
