RUNNERS-UP IRELAND WILL HAVE HOME COURSE ADVANTAGE NEXT YEAR

Ireland have never won the Girls Home Internationals' title for the Stroyan Cup but that omission could be put right next year when Donabate Golf Club near Dublin - ILGU president Mary McKenna's home club - will play host from August 6 to 8 to the three-day series for Under-18 girls.
"We've won the Swansea Spoon as runners-up for the past two years and this year we beat the champions, England, on the final day. That first Stroyan Cup is getting closer," said Mary (extreme right of above picture by Cal Carson Golf Agency).
