DUTCH VISITOR CLEAR NO 1 QUALIFIER AT STRATHTYRUM TOURNAMENT

Baberton's Karen Marshall will have her work cut out if she is to add to her victories in the Strathtyrum Tournament at St Andrews, judging by the form of the No 1 qualifier for the match-play stages, Marit Harryvan from the Netherlands.
The Dutch player shot 68 76 for 144 over the Eden and New Courses - five shots ahead of No 2 seed Karen who had rounds of 76 and 73.
Broomieknowe youngster Kate McIntosh is the third best qualifier on 150 with scores of 72 and 78.
