CORMAC AND ASHLEIGH WIN STIRLING INVITATIONAL TITLES

Ireland-born Stirling student Cormac Sharvin won the 3rd annual University of Stirling Invitational golf tournament off the back tees at Dundonald Links, Ayrshire this week.
Sharvin shot 76, 74 and 68 from the Black Tees for a total of two-over-par 218.
He won by two strokes from Connor Syme (SGU Select), winner of the Scottish schoolboys title for the past two years, and by three from Scottish amateur champion Zander Culverwell, also a Stirling student.
Ashleigh Greenham (Independent Schools) from West Essex won the women's title by six shots from Ireland's Sinead Sextion (NUI Maynooth).
