GIFFORD PAIR WIN SLGA COMMONWEALTH SPOONS FINAL

The East Lothian pairing of Ingrid Elgsaas and Georgene Parsons from Gifford Golf Club have won the SLGA Commonwealth Spoons Final at Fortrose and Rosemarkie Golf Club.
Off a combined handicap of 27.5 they had a table-topping net score of 74.5.
That was half-a-stroke better than the runners-up from Ayrshire, Liz Wilson and Linda McDonald from Kilmarnock Barassie GC. Playing off 11, they scored 75.
Third on 75.5 were the  Northern Counties pairing of Elizabeth Coghill and Denise McBride, both Royal Dornoch members and playing off 12.5.
Ayrshire's Jill West and Margaret Miller finished fourth on 75.5 off 15.3.
Fifth were Norma Choat and Anne Cumberland from Dunbartonshire and Argyll with 76 off 21.
