KELSEY SAYS SHE WILL BE PATIENT, WAITING FOR FIRST ROOKIE PRO WIN
Kelsey MacDonald, leader until the last nine holes of last weekend's WPGA International Challenge in which she eventually finished joint fifth, is ready to bounce back in her bid for a first win as a rooke pro.
She told Kirkwoodgolf this week:
"I have every faith in my talent and I know I am only one step away from a professional win. Leading the field was an amazing feeling and maybe the excitement got too much for me at that moment in time.
"It was great to see my name in lights at the turn after birding the seventh and eighth and then putting my tee shot close on a very difficult par 3
On the back nine I hit some great shots. However, the pressure obviously got to me and Hannah had an unbelievable finish and was a well deserved winner.
I am very gutted about the final nine holes. However, I have to look at it as still my best finish as a professional yet on the LET Access Series.
Having put myself it a great position, I have made a step forward.
Now it's about being patient and working hard to finish the next step off.
That will come in time."
