SCOTS WOMEN FAIL TO MAKE SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP FLIGHT

Tain's Mary Smith (joint 10th) and Aberdeen Ladies' Sheena Wood (joint 19th), playing in the European senior women's team golf championship for the first time, did well to finish within the top 20 individual scorers in the 36-hole qualifying stage at Bled, Slovenia.
But Scotland, as a team, did not do so well. They failed to make the top eight who will contest the championship match-play stages.
Scotland finished 10th on 815.

158 Sheena Wood (Aberdeen Ladies) 80 78

168 Kathleen Sutherland (Royal Montrose) 84 84, Alison Bartlett (Royal Dornoch) 82 86.
170 Lorna Bennett (Ladybank) 85 85.
