HEATHER STIRLING TAKES OVER LEAD IN PAUL LAWRIE TOUR ORDER OF MERIT

Fife-based Paul Lawrie Scottish Ladies Open Tour player and professional caddie at St Andrews, Heather Stirling (pictured) has taken over the No 1 position on the Tour's Order of Merit.
With only two events to go - over 18 holes at Craigielaw next Wednesday and the Tour Championship over two rounds at Marriott Dalmahoy on Thursday and Friday of next week - before the Paul Lawrie Tour comes to the end of its inaugural schedule, Heather leads from the former No 1 Katy McNicoll of Carnoustie.
Double Merit points will be stake in the Tour Championship so there could be a few twists and turns before the winner of free flights and accommodation at the Ladies European Tour Q School in Morocco later this year.
