MERCHISTON WIN THE ISGA SCOTTISH OPEN
MERCHISTON, winners of the team event

The Independent Schools Scottish Open was held at Kings Acre this week.
A total of 23
school teams from as far away as Berkshire competed for the Kings Acre
trophy. The field of players from Scotland, England and Wales proved to
be one of the strongest we've had at the Scottish event.

Thurlow ( Stewart's Melville) took the individual trophy with a 3 under
par 67, followed closely by Wellington's new player Edoardo Lipparelli
and Merchistons new player Murray Naysmith who both carded a 2 under 68.
The
competition consisted of an under 15 age group, under 18's and a girls
competition. Gross and nett trophies were presented to the winners
Robert Dylan (Robert Gordon's ) took the under 15 trophy with a 1 over 73
The girls competition was won by Yasmin Sari (Loretto) with a 4 over par 74
In
the team competition Merchiston players Murray Naysmith, Max Bruek and
Morgen White took the Kings Acre trophy with a score of 138, 5 shots
ahead of Wellington's Edoardo Lipparelli, Jack Sallis and Ryan Lumsden.
Loretto players Ronan Higgins, Brodie Good and Yanick Artigolle took the under 15 trophy
Newcomers St Bees took the under 15 nett team trophy
