PAMELA FEGGANS TOP SCOT IN AZORES OPEN AFTER GOOD FINISH
Pamela Feggans saved her best until last in the Azores Ladies Open at Terceira Island today (Sunday). The Ayrshire player, playing out of Doon Valley Golf Club, shot a one-under-par 71 on the last day for a final total of four-over 220.
After earlier rounds of 75 and 74, that gave Feggans a share orf 12th place, on the same mark as rookie pro Amy Boulden, the former Curtis Cup player and Helen Holm Scottish stroke-play winner from Wales.
Dunblane's Heather MacRae (Gleneagles) tied for 20th place after coming home in 33 for a closing 74 and a total of 223. She had a triple bogey in her opening 75 and a double bogey in his second-day 74.
Nairn's Kelsey MacDonald was off the boil with a final round of 78 for 227 and joint 26th place.
Switzerland's Fabienne In-Albon birdied the last two holes for a 72 and a final total of four-under-212. She was level on the 17th tee with Germany's Isabell Gabsa who finished runner-up with a 70 for 214.
Third placed Mireia Prat (Spa) came from nowhere with a closing 64 (31-33) for 215.
