RACHAEL WATTON DISAPPOINTS IN SCHOONER FALL CLASSIC
Scotland international Rachael Watton had a disappointing tournament in The Schooner Fall Classic at Belmar Golf Club, Norman in Oklahoma.
The Edinburgh player shot 78, 77 and 73 for an 18-over-par total of 228 over a par-70 course of 6,082yd
Rachael finished 22 shots behind the Swedish winner, Madelene Sagstrom (Louisiana State) who headed a field of 78 players with rounds of 70, 70 and 66 for four-under 206 and a two-stroke victory
Oklahoma Stater (868) won the team title ahead of Oklahoma (874) with Louisiana State and Kentucky sharing third place on 876. Denver (881) finished fourth of 15 teams.
CHARLOTTE THOMAS OUTSIDE TOP TEN
Surrey-born Charlotte Thomas finished T14 in a field of 7 at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational at Schalee, Sammamish in the state of Washington.
Charlotte had rounds of 74, 77 and 73 for a total of 224.
She finished 15 shots behind Stanford University's Mariah Stackhouse who had scores of 68,70 and 71 to win by three shots frfom Stanford team-mate Mariko Tumangan who had scores of 71, 66 and 75 for 212.
Stanford (863) won the team title by 27 shots from Washington with Central Florida 9898) third in a field of 12 team
