YORKSHIRE'S ALISON KNOWLES SETS LOUISIANA-MONROE LOW RECORD WITH AN EIGHT-UNDER 64

MONROE, La. --  ULM’s Alison Knowles broke individual low round records for both men and women’s golf with her score of 8-under par 64, posted in the second round of the Lady Red Wolf Classic, held in Jonesboro, Arkansas
The previous individual low round record for the women’s team was held by Jennifer Park, who shot a 68 in the 2011 Great Smokies Intercollegiate.
So far this season, Knowles, a sophomore from Mexborough, England, has broken three ULM individual records. During the Lady Red Wolf Classic, Knowles broke the individual 36 hole record with a score of 10-under 134. The previous record, held by Jennifer Park, was a 138 carded in the 2011 Great Smokies Intercollegiate. In the Fred Marx Invitational, held at the Bayou DeSiard Country Club on September 23rd and 24th, Knowles broke the individual 54 hole record when she carded a 4-under 212. The previous individual 54 hole record was a 215, shot by Angela Drane in the 2009 Chris Banister Gamecock Classic.  
The Lady Red Wolf Classic, hosted by Arkansas State, was the second consecutive tournament for Knowles to finish first in individual competition.
She had scores of 70, 64 and 74 for a total of eight-under-par 208 over a 6137yd course with a par of 72.
She won by trhee shots in a field of 35 players.
Louisiana-Monrose wont the team title by 14 shots from Western Kentucky with hosts Arkansas State third, 21 shots behind the winners.

MEGAN THOMPSON THIRD IN PAYNE 
STEWART MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT

Elsewhere on the US women's college golf circuit, Megan Thompson (Missouri State), a third-year student from Ballyclare, Northern Ireland, finished third on 219 with scores of 76, 70 and 73 over a par-72 course of 6082yd.
She finished four shots behind the winner of the Payne Stewart Memorial 54-hole tournament at Rivercut Golf Club, Springfield, Missouri.
Lina Aguillon (Redlands) won by a shot with scores of 73, 71 and 71 for one-under 215.
Runners-up on 216 was Megan Schueltz (Wichita State) with scores of 72, 73 and 71.
Missouri State (914) finished fourth of 17 teams behind title winners Oral Roberts. 

ELIZABETH SWALLOW TIES FOR SIXTH
IN PATSY RENDLEMAN INVITATIONAL 
 
Elizabeth Swallow (King Univesity) finished joint sixth in the Patsy Rendleman Invitational over 36 holes at the Country Club of Salisbury, North Carolina.
Over a par-72 course of 5,990yd, the English sudent shot a pair of 77s for a total of 154 - only five shots behind the winner in a high-scoring tournament (presumably bad weather), Marianna Monaco (Newberry) who shot 72 and 77 for five-over 149 and headed a field of 90 players by two strokes.
