ELIZABETH HAYCOCK CHALKS UP THIRD US COLLEGE VICTORY


                       ELIZABETH HAYCOCK .... Third win on US women's college circuit

Birmingham's Elizabeth Haycock, a final-year student at Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia was named USA Conference Women's Golfer of the Week after scoring her third career US college win in the Fighting Camel Fall Classic at Keith Hills Country Club, Buies Creek, North Carolina.
Elizabeth had rounds of 73, 75 and 73 for a total of 221 over a par-72 course of 6,026yd.
Her total was matched by Kaylin Yost (Campb ell University) 73-75-73 and Mary Alice Murphy (Mercer University) 79-73-69. There was no play-off. The trio were declared joint winners of the individual title
Old Dominion had three players in the final top 8. Kimberley Bradbury, a senior student from Buxton, Derbyushire, finished fifth on 223 with scores of 72, 74 and 77.
And Scotland international Rachel Walker, pictured right, a freshman from Dumfries, was played joint eighth on 229 with scores of 74, 74 and 77.
Charlotte Hindmoor, also a student at Old Dominion, a sophomore from Darlington, finished T43 on 238 (82-77-79) in a field of 59 players.
A fifth British player in the field was Welsh junior international Rachel Lewis (Nova Southeastern) who finished T38 on 236 with scores of 77, 79 and 80.
Host university Campbell (887) won the team title with Old Dominion (897) runners-up.
