ENGLAND'S JENNIER AND ALICE HELP BETHUNE-COOKMAN TO FIRST WIN OF SEASON

The winning Bethune-Cookman University team (in dark shirts) with their coaching staff after victory in the SSU Tiger Fall Invitational. Alice Plumb and Jennifer Hide are in there somewhere. We've also pictured them below to help you identify them in the team picture.

Two students from England, Jennifer Hide from Norfolk and Alice Plumb from Somerset, have helped Bethune-Cookman University, Daytona Beach, Florida to score their first team victory of the US 2013-2014 golf season.
Jennifer, pictured left, a third-year (junior) student, and freshman Alice both scored 80-80 for 160 to tie for sixth place in the SSU Tiger Fall Invitational at Crosswinds Golf Cl;ub, Savanmnah, Georgia this week.
It was Alice's lowest 36-hole aggregate since she enrolled in August.
Scoring was high over a par-72 course of 6,159 so one suspects that the weather did not help the field of 20 players.
Bethune-Cookman totalled 615 with Alabama State (627) runners-up ahead of third place Hampton University (747) and hosts Savannah State (796).

Bethune-Cookman scored a double whammy because their team of five also produced the individual winner, Andrea Orozco from Mexico with 70-77 for 147 and victory by three strokes.
It was the last event of the first half of the season for Alice Plumb (pictured right) and Jennifer Hide. They'll be back in action for Bethune-Cookman in mid-February in the Gary Freeman spring invitational at Ormond Beach, Florida.
Spring in February? Still the depths of winter in the UK in February.
