SLGA MOVING ITS HQ FROM PERTH TO SOUTH GYLE, EDINBURGH

PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE PUBLICATION

WE’RE MOVING

The Scottish Ladies’ Golfing Association is relocating from Perth to Edinburgh. After nine years at The Den on Dundee Road, the governing body will be based at Caledonia House, Sportscotland’s Offices at South Gyle.

A number of sport’s governing bodies are already situated at the offices at 1 Redheughs Rigg and the SLGA will be joining them next month. The switch will take place over the weekend of December 6-9.

“The move will be very positive,” said Karin Sharp, the SLGA’s Finance and Operations Manager. “There will be a real benefit in being co-located with our Sportscotland partners and other National Organisations and Governing Bodies. It is an exciting move for the SLGA and the staff.”

“We are currently working with our IT suppliers to pull together a detailed plan for the shut-down of operations at Perth and transfer to Edinburgh, but our aim will be to keep disruption to our members to a minimum.”

The Scottish Ladies’ Golfing Association, founded in 1904 and incorporated in 2006, is the governing body for ladies’ and girls’ amateur golf in Scotland.
