CATRIONA MATTHEW MAKES TOP TEN IN TAIWAN ROLLER-COASTER
Catriona Matthew finished joint 10th and Carly Booth shared 72nd place in a field of 95 players at the Swinging Skirts World Ladies Masters in Taiwan where 16-year-old Lydia Ko scored her first win since turning professional.
Matthew had a roller-coaster tournament with rounds of 65, 79 and 71 for a one-under-par total of 215 over the 6,316yd course.
She was two shots off the pace with an excellent opening 65 but required 14 more shots to get it round in the second during which she birdied only one hole, the 18th in a round uncharacteristically strewn with efforts..
The North Berwick player fired six birdies in her final round but had double bogeys at the long sixth and par-4 ninth. She finished 10 shots behind Lydia Ko.
Carly Booth's form slump continues She had rounds of 79, 75 and 77 for a 15-over-par otal of 231.
