CHRISTMAS CHEER IN THE WEST OF SCOTLAND

FROM CAROL FELL
Our Lady in the West

Just to let you know there has been a lot of Christmas activities going on in the West of Scotland despite the poor weather.

Twenty-six ladies at Ranfurly Castle plus the pro, Tom Eckford, enjoyed nine holes on a very mild, dry but somewhat gloomy day.
The course was looking splendid, with the greens newly cut for us.
We were joined by an additional 15 festively-dressed ladies for a noisy and delicious lunch.

There were 100 lady members at the Douglas Park Golf Club for their Christmas lunch where they were treated to an excellent lunch and there was much singing and laughter.

Finally Gleddoch Golf Club Girls got some practice fun and games at the Glasgow Indoor Golf Academy with pro Karyn Burns organising the competitions. This was followed by mince pies and much chat.
So as you can see from the photos, despite the worry of the falling numbers of lady members there is still some action going on and I am sure plenty more clubs have had a good time also.
Please, Colin, send my Season Greetings to all your readers and, of course, my best wishes to you and Ethel.
