LYDIA KO LYING SECOND IN WORLD LADIES MASTERS IN TAIWAN
Lydia Ko has moved up to second at the World Ladies Masters in Taipei City, Taiwan, after her second straight four-under 68.
Ko, playing in her second tournament as a professional, fired five birdies and one bogey in the second round of the three-round event at the Miramar Golf and Country Club, to trail So Yean Ryu by one. There is a three-stroke gap back to third.
Ko got her round going in the right direction from the first tee, birdieing the first and second holes to get to -6 overall. A third birdie at the sixth saw Ko make the turn in second, before she added biries at the 13th and 18th holes, with the lone blemish coming at the par-three 14th.
First-round leader Inbee Park dropped back to third with a four-over 76, including a double-bogey at the sixth. Ryu posted six birdies and one bogey in her five-under 67.
Catriona Matthew is tied eighth of 144 with a contrasting pair of scores ... 65 in the first round, 79 in the second - not like Catriona at all! She took 40 shots to the turn today.
