SHANSHAN AND PORNANONG WIN FLOODLIT CHALLENGE MATCH IN DUBAI

Shanshan Feng of China and Thailand’s Pornanong Phatlum celebrated UAE National Day in style when they won the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters Challenge Match at Emirates Golf Club’s flood-lit par-3 course on Monday night.
Watched by a sizeable crowd, the talented duo carded a three-under 24 to win by a good three shots from the pairing of England’s Laura Davies and Carlota Ciganda of Spain.
The team of world number three Stacy Lewis of the US and Maha Haddioui settled for third on one over 28.
The match was followed by a gala dinner which was attended by players, representatives of the sponsors and invited guests. Bids for exclusive sports memorabilia were also made during a live auction to benefit Breast Cancer Arabia Foundation.
Mohamed Juma Buamaim, vice chairman and CEO of golf in DUBAi, and Malik Bey, regional sales manager of Omega, presented the prize and cut the cake to mark the UAE National Day celebrations.
Promoted and organised by 'Golf in Dubai,' the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters will see 108 players compete over four rounds from Wednesday for a purse of €500,000, with the winner taking home a cool €75,000.
