WILL GEORGIA HALL REALLY TURN PRO A WEEK OR TWO BEFORE THE CURTIS CUP?

If the Great Britain and Ireland team of eight to defend the Curtis Cup at St Louis, Missouri from June 6 to 8 were chosen this week, what do you think the line-up would be under Tegwen Matthew's command?
Only three of the victorious eight at Nairn in June 2012 are still amateurs and still eligible for selection - Stephanie Meadow, ranked No 4 in the world, Bronte Law, ranked No. 37, and Leona Maguire who has slipped all the way down to No 100 and even that is 27 places ahead of her twin, Lisa.
British women's amateur champion Georgia Hall, ranked No 600 and something at the start of 2012, started her climb to stardom too late to make the 2012 GB and I Curtis Cup team.
And, if her recent quotes are to be believed, she is going to turn professional in May which would mean that one of the most talented English players of recent years would not play in a Curtis Cup match during her career.
Could the Remedy Oak Golf Club, Dorset teenager, pictured right in the Vagliano Trophy match at Chantilly this year, not delay her planned move into the pro ranks just a few weeks so that she could have one Curtis Cup match on her CV?
Turning pro in May seems a madcap idea anyway. The 2014 Ladies European Tour Qualifying School will still be seven months away.
If the Ladies Golf Union international selection panel stick fairly closely to the Women's World Amateur Rankings, then you can envision the GB and I team of eight yourself.
Here is how the British and Irish players stand in the World Rankings this week:
4 Stephanie Meadow (Ireland)
11 Georgia Hall (England)
37 Bronte Law (England)
47 Chloe Williams (Wales)
53 Charlotte Thomas (England)
62 Hayley Davis (England)
82 Gabriella Cowley (England)
100 Leona Maguire (Ireland)
127 Lisa Maguire (Ireland)
129 Meghan MacLaren (England)
133 Gemma Dryburgh (Scotland)
134 Eilidh Briggs (Scotland)
153 Alexandra Peters (England)
159 Amber Ratcliffe (England)
202 Bethan Popel (England)
215 Becky Harries (Wales)
