CHLOE WILLIAMS' 69 SHOOTS HER UP INTO SECOND PLACE AT THE SALLY

Welsh international Chloe Williams (pictured by Cal Carson Golf Agency) from Wrexham was the exception in the second round of "The Sally" - South Atlantic Ladies Amateur - at Oceanside Country, Ormond Beach in Florida today.
Chloe's score came down to a best-of-the-day, three-under-par 69 while most of the other scores were much higher than on the first day of this Orange Blossom Tour event - presumably bad weather in the region.
With the highlight an eagle 3 at the sixth, Williams' 36-hole tally of level par 144 sees her in second place, only one shot behind the leader, Canadian wonder girl, 16-year-old Brooke Mackenzie Henderson from Smith Falls, near Ottawa in Ontario. Brooke, ranked sixth in the Women's World Amateur Rankings and recent winner of the girls' Junior Orange Bowl elsewhere in Florida, went back from an opening 67 to a second-round 76 for 143 - and suddenly the tournament looks wide open over the last two rounds.

Wentworth's 17-year-old England international  Annabel Dimmock (pictured left by Cal Carson Golf Agency) is two off the pace after a 75 for 145, sharing third place with American teenager Harin Lee, who also had a 75.
Stirling student Eilidh Briggs remains top Scot after a 78 for 151 which keeps her in joint ninth place.
