England international Annabel Dimmock (Wentworth), runner-up at the weekend in the South Atlantic Amateur Championship, is the No 5 seed after a round of 78 - and she too gets a bye into the second round.
A local high school student, Marisa Messana, pictured, earned the No 1 seed status with a very good round of one-under 72. From Plantation, Florida, she is a member at Lago Mar Country Club and Fort Lauderdale Country Club.
She's been a winner on the American Junior Golf Association circuit.
