IRISH LAUNCH BID TO GET MORE GIRLS PLAYING GOLF

The Irish Ladies Golf Union are inviting all girls Under 12 years of age (on 01/01/2014), with an interest in playing golf, to attend Development Taster Sessions at centres across the country in mid February:

Registration closes on Monday 10th February and only those registered will be guaranteed a place.
Those registered will be contacted after this date to confirm the time of their session.  

Important Notes
Girls do not need any previous golfing experience to participate.  The Development Taster Session (approx 60 mins) will give Girls the opportunity to hit balls, and interact with an ILGU Regional Coach.  
Following this, all girls who have attended and wish to play and learn more about the game will be offered a place in a Coaching Group with an ILGU Regional Coach. 
These coaching groups will consist of a maximum of eight girls who will receive 10hrs of coaching over the next months of March and April.  The coaching sessions will concentrate on developing basic skills in a fun and safe environment.  During this time, the ILGU will endeavour to link Girls, who are not already a member of a club, with a local ILGU affiliated Club.  
The programme will conclude with a Fun Finale Day for all participants at a central venue on Saturday, May 2.
