MILLSAP HITS THE SUNCOAST TOUR LIKE HALEY'S COMET - EIGHT BIRDIES ON DEBUT
Haley Millsap, from Pace, Florida, marked her debut on the SunCoast Lady Pro Tour by taking the first-round lead in this week's 54-hole event at Metro West Golf Club, Orlando.
Haley had a roller-coaster round of four-under-par 68 featuring EIGHT birdies and four bogeys in halves of 34.
She birdied the first, third, sixth, long seventh, short eighth, 11th, long 14th and 16th.
Haley bogeyed the long fourth, par-4 fifth, par-4 ninth and par-5 10th.
She leads by two shots from the winner of last week's event by seven shots, Sandra Changkija from Orlando.
Sandra's first round at Metro West was in complete contrast to the leader's - she had 16 pars and birdies at the long seventh and 16th in halves of 35.
There is a field of 36 players.
