TENNESSEE STUDENT TAKES LEAD AT HARDER HALL INVITATIONAL

LAUREN, INDIA AND CHLOE SHARING THIRD PLACE IN FLORIDA

HARDER HALL INVITATIONAL NEWS RELEASE

University of Tennessee freshman Hannah Pietila carded a bogey-free 67 on a misty and breezy day to lead the 59^th Harder Hall Women’s Invitational after the second round at the Sebring, Florida venue in the first event on the Orange Blossom women's amateur tour.   

Pietila holds a two-shot lead over Oakland Park, Florida’s Meghan Stasi, four-time USGA Women’s Mid-Amateur Champion and past US Curtis Cup player (when her surname was Bolger). 
Three British players are lying joint fourth on 149 - Lauren Whyte (73-76) from the St Regulus club, St Andrews, India Clyburn (72-77), younger sister of LET player Holly Clyburn from Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, and Wales' Chloe Williams (75-74) from Wrexham.
Two more Brits, Stirling student Eilidh Birggs (74-78), a Kilmacolm GC member, and GB and I Junior Vagliano Trophy player Samantha Fuller (73-79) from Roehampton are joint 10th on 152.
Annabel Dimmock (Wentworth) has had rounds of 80 and 73 for 153.

 Harder Hall Country Club is playing at 6,150 yards for the championship, which concludes on Saturday, January 11 after 72 holes.

In the Forever Forty-nine division, Cape Coral, Florida’s Gigi Higgins carded a 75 for a two-day total of 155 to take a one-shot lead over first round leader Martha Leach of Hebron, Kentucky who carded her second 78.

In the Ben Roman division, Becky Krakowski of Beavercreek, Ohio shot 81 to take a two-shot lead at 161 over defending champion Nancy Jackson of Boynton Beach, Florida who followed her 78 with an 85.
