USGA OFFICIAL TO MEET LPGA TOUR PLAYERS TO ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT US WOMEN'S OPEN BEING PLAYED SAME COURSE, WEEK AFTER US MEN'S OPEN

USGA executive director Mike Davis will address the U.S. Women’s Open set-up at Pinehurst No. 2 when LPGA pros come together on March 18 at the LPGA Founders Cup for their first players' meeting of the year.
Davis was invited by LPGA commissioner Mike Whan to address player questions and concerns about how the USGA will balance set-up with the U.S. Open (June 12-15) and U.S. Women’s Open (June 19-22) being played in back-to-back weeks on the same course.
“We shared a lot of our concerns and questions when the USGA flew down to meet with our staff in Orlando in December,” Whan told GolfChannel.com.
“I told Mike there are probably more questions from my players than I’ve thought of. I thought it would be beneficial for him and us if he came to a player meeting to talk about what the plan is for Pinehurst No. 2 and to hear other concerns, questions, thoughts and to get some input from our players. He said he would love to do that.”
What does Whan expect Davis to address?
“I have questions and so do some of the players, about practice. When can we practice?” Whan said. 
“What happens if there’s a play-off and they’re playing on Monday? What about the course set-up? Are the landing areas into the greens going to be pretty beat up? 
"Is the range going to be OK for us? How much access are we going to get? How comfortable is the USGA going to be with us trying to create more awareness for us in week two during week one? 
"What about accommodations? Is it going to be difficult for us and our players to find accommodations, especially the weekend before?”
